Dr. Stephen Hauptman, Professor of Medicine, Medical Director

A HEALER BEYOND HIS TIME

Dr. Hauptman is a Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Board certified in internal medicine, he completed medical internships in immunology and hematology. Dr. Hauptman has expertise in the areas of holistic medicine, functional medicine, internal medicine, immunology, hematology, infectious disease and physical medicine. In 1976, he established the Tissue Typing Laboratory at TJUH that was an integral part in bringing organ transplantation to Philadelphia. For over 30 years Dr. Hauptman has dedicated himself to the fight against disease and the maintenance of health. During his Medical Career, Dr. Hauptman has conducted numerous clinical trials, contributed to numerous medical textbooks and has taught medical school students.

At HFHC, Dr. Hauptman is our Medical Director, where he combines his unique style of loving, supportive, attentive, cutting edge holistic medical care with his unsurpassed ability to effectively manage serious and urgent health emergencies. Dr. Hauptman understands in his approach to caring for you, the importance of your mind, body and soul. He is there to guide you to health and wellness and when needed, to lead you through medically urgent health issues.

Dr. Stephen Hauptman is a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is an avid runner and a model of the wellness lifestyle.

Dr. Garret Hauptman, Chiropractic Physician, Wellness Director

A UNIQUE CHIROPRACTOR, YOUR GUIDE TO WELLNESS

Following in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Garret Hauptman combines a strong understanding of wellness with a unique ability to effectively manage acute and urgent health issues. After graduating, from Chiropractic School, Dr. Garret completed a year of medical preceptorship with his father. This unique experience solidified his innate clinical ability to recognize and appropriately manage disease. He then dedicated himself to providing complementary and holistic health care to a diverse patient population and those in our community. In the early years of Dr. Garrets private practice, he had the fortune of working with HIV positive patients in a government sponsored clinical out reach program. This unique experience further enhanced Dr. Garret’s experience as a Doctor of chiropractic and a health care provider.

Through HFHC’s chiropractic care, Dr. Garret has helped many people in our community by combining his extensive knowledge in exercise physiology with his passionate, dedicated, scientifically based technique of Chiropractic and Posture Rehabilitation. As HFHC's Wellness Director, Dr. Garret directs our wellness care by guiding patients to the appropriate wellness service or services. He is dedicated to his patients, their health and the health of our community.

Dr. Garret is a loving husband, father, brother and friend. In his spare time he is a sports enthusiast and spends time exercising and caring for his family.

Angela Garvey, Registered Dietitian

Angela Garvey received her Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietetic Nutritionist degrees (LDN) and licenses from LaSalle University. Angela has cared for patients in both the medical setting as well as the wellness setting. She has helped children, mothers, fathers and families heal and recover from illness and many others to enhance their longevity by proactively learning to eat healthy. Angela works closely with both Dr. Hauptman’s to provide her patients with comprehensive nutritional counseling and healthy eating care.

Nicole Hanns, Certified Massage Therapist

Nicole has been practicing as a certified massage therapist for several years. She has worked in both the medical and spa setting. Nicole specializes in a variety of body work techniques; Swedish, deep tissue, Neuro-muscular Therapy, hot stone massage, Reflexology, Infant Massage, Pregnancy massage, Sports Massage, Esalen and Geriatric massage. Through her art of massage and her magic hands, Nicole truly touches the lives of her patients.
